10002 Arts is a group of people involved in the visual, performing, design, media and literary arts who live and/or work within this zip code on the Lower East Side. While the LES continues to evolve, many of us in the arts have felt isolated, but now realize that we have compatriots— artists, performers, designers, architects, musicians, curators, journalists, collectors and more. We aim to capitalize on this critical mass by gathering together and identifying our mutual interests — to support, to inspire, to connect. To this end, we hold gatherings, as well as alert the group to arts activities in 10002.
